At the very core of Restoration Church is the belief that "God so loved the world..."!! The world God loves is a fallen, broken, and hurting world...a world in which people are struggling with sin and often times they feel there is no place to turn for hope. Restoration Church wants to be a place of hope in the midst of the brokenness and hopelessness!!
We see our mission as being a church that is unlike any other...a church where people are loved and accepted for who they are....Children of God...whether they know they are or not!! We are a church where people who are hungry to really get their hands dirty for the cause of Christ can find a place to be equipped, encouraged and utilized for the advancement of the Gospel! We are also a church in which those who have been hurt, rejected or made to feel unwelcomed at other fellowships can find a church home where they will be loved, healed and accepted.
To that end, we claim the following as the Core Values for Restoration Church:
Supremacy of the Godhead: All we do and all we are shall be under the authority of and to the glory of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
God's Holy Word: We will submit ourselves to the authority of the Word of God. It is the Truth by which we live our lives and the infallible guide for our faith and practice. We shall share Its life giving Truth with those to whom we minister. We will not be ashamed of the Gospel.
Evangelism: We assert that reaching the lost with the Good News of Jesus Christ is our church's foremost priority. We will achieve this by not only ministry and out reach in the local community, but also through the support and sending of missionaries around the world.
Spiritual Gifts: We hold that each believer is given spiritual gifts to empower them to serve the Lord Jesus Christ. We will strive to learn our gifts and live out our ministry.
Being Authentic Believers: In all that we do, we seek to be believers of integrity, honor and character.
Excellence: We will strive to always do our best and give our best for the cause of the Lord Jesus Christ. We will not settle for mediocrity; rather, we will strive for excellence in all things from the least to the greatest.
Culturally Relevant: While the message of the Good News and the Truth of the Scripture never changes, we will communicate the Good News to our culture in a way that will enable them to understand the Gospel. We will be sacrificial in our "comfort zone" for the sake of the lost.
Spiritual/Celebratory Worship: We will strive to be obedient to and in tune with the Holy Spirit during worship. We will endeavor to always worship in spirit and truth; focusing not on ourselves or our individual traditions, but on the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
A Warm and Welcoming Fellowship: We will not reject those who do not know the Lord; rather, we will welcome them so that they may learn of the love of God, grow in that love, and learn to walk in the holiness and abundant life Christ promised us.
Encouraging Fellowship: We acknowledge our need to live out our faith in the fellowship of believers. We will strive to be encouraging and helpful to our brothers and sisters and to encourage each other to live out our faith in love and power. We will be faithful and trustworthy when someone confides in us and we will do all that we can to aid our brothers and sisters.
