There are already a ton of churches in Bryan/College Station and surrounding areas...so why start another one??
The answer is quite simple...a hunger to get back to what the church should be.
It seems many churches have fallen into the practice of "passive Christianity"...a Christianity that says, "if you come to us, then we can offer you this, this and this". So much of ministry is based on convenience...not the compelling force of Christ's love! They don't seek the one lost sheep anymore...instead they wait for the lost lambs to come to them, even though they doesn't know how! They hope and pray for things to get better...and then they create a safe home inside their walls and worship God, pushing the brokenness of the world to the back burner...but what about the lost, hurting and broken?
The vision of Restoration Church, is to see people of all levels of spiritual development, denominational backgrounds, races, and economic classes come together to live out active Christianity...to worship, have fun, learn, fellowship, serve and grow in the Lord Jesus Christ...to then use their faith to change the lives of those around them!!

From our perspective, we believe that a church should be more than a place where your usefulness to God is determined by your past mistakes or failures...where everything costs money...where decisions are made based on what's best for the church instead of the cause of Christ and the lost...where the offering plate is always being passed...where you're valued based on what kind of clothes you wear or how much you contribute or what family you belong to...or where kids and youth are seen as a noisy expense!!
We are convinced, in Christ, that a fellowship of believers should be a place where people are equipped and taught to live out their faith...where they are valued based on what God is currently doing in their lives, not the mistakes or failures of their past...where the work of God is done by Christians who are empowered and then set free to do so...where tithes and offerings are used to make a difference...where kids and youth are seen as blessings in which to pour our lives and resources...where those who are lost, hurting, and broken can find hope and rest...where a pregnant girl isn't looked down on and lectured, but helped and cared for...where the addict is set free...where people are seen as people and not judged based on how they look...and where those struggling with sin will be loved and welcomed, not to debate the Truth, but to be ministered to and led toward freedom in Christ!! Restoration Church will strive to be like Jesus who welcomed all to His table!!
